Established in 2017, The Rock & Indie Festival (RIF) is an entirely student-led music festival staged annually in the heart of LASALLE College of the Arts.
The festival aims to provide a platform for local musicians and small business owners to showcase their works. Student and external bands are invited to come perform at the LASALLE Flexible Performance Space or Campus Green.

I worked under the marketing team as a designer alongside my BA(Hons) Arts Management and Music schoolmates. I helped to plan and produce all kinds of promotional materials from digital graphics for RIF 2024's Instagram to printed materials, including the festival's main poster.
Our outreach reached 6,000 Instagram accounts and supported a final turnout of 1,600 attendees.

During the event, I adapted to filming content of the performances and booths instead. I also supported the festival’s roving bear mascot, coordinating safety measures and workflow to keep the activation running smoothly.

Throughout the process, I worked with feedback, negotiated visual ideas, and designed with a clear sense of purpose.
This project left a lasting impact, as it was the first time my original graphic work appeared in a public arts festival, allowing me to discover and strengthen my own design voice.
