Artist's Proof: Singapore at 60 (AP60) is The Culture Story's (TCS) landmark exhibition that reflects on the continuous work of Singapore as a nation. Over 90 works from Mr. Chong Huai Seng's private art collection highlight how artists document, question, and reimagine the nation’s evolving cultural landscape.

Day 1 of Installation at Artspace @ Helutrans

I was working under Family Office For Art (FOFA), the producers of the exhibition, as a social media and programmes intern. Being part of AP60 allowed me to work in an active gallery environment while also shaping its public-facing voice.

I was given the task of producing, editing, and publishing on-site social media content, capturing behind-the-scenes processes and energy of daily programmes. Managing the Instagram and Facebook pages became a creative responsibility that pushed me to think critically about audience engagement, pacing, and storytelling.

Over the course of the exhibition, these efforts contributed to a 20% growth in Instagram followers and increased post viewership to an average of 14,000 per post.

Beyond digital outreach, I was also involved in designing and reformatting promotional and programme materials from social media posts to printed collaterals. I would ensure that all content was communicated clearly to diverse audiences, while aligning with the exhibition's identity and digital platform requirements.

On-site at ArtSpace @ Helutrans, I filmed content for programmes with family centres, children’s groups, SPED schools, and general gallery visitors (with permission).

I also supported the session facilitators whenever I could. Each programme differed in scale and needs, and I worked to keep the experience seamless while guiding participants and supporting a setting where they could connect meaningfully with the exhibition artworks or workshop activities.

AP60 became a space where I grew both as a communicator and as a cultural worker, balancing social media marketing, design, and public engagement in a dynamic setting.

It remains one of the projects that will shape my approach to working in the cultural sector.
